Whether you are outside walking, playing basketball, or running, make sure you always stay hydrated! Temperatures are on the rise, so it is even more important to make sure you keep a bottle of water nearby. According to Nutritional Specialist, Dr. Lisa Franzen-Castle, adults should drink 6-8 cups of water daily, and with this summer weather, it is vital to stay hydrated, so you don’t experience signs of heat related illnesses like cramps, dizziness, nausea, or even headaches.
TIP: Take your own reusable water bottle every time you go to workout at the gym. Some gyms may have a hydration station where you could refill your bottles, but this can help you avoid taking part in this environmentally unfriendly practice that contributes to large amounts of waste. Not only taking care of your body at the gym, but also taking care of the environment.
